Common Questions

Things Families Often Ask

We understand that estate matters can feel unfamiliar. These are some questions we hear often.

What happens during the initial estate consultation?
The first meeting is simply a conversation. We listen to your family's situation, answer any questions you have about how inheritance is handled in Thailand, and give you a written summary to keep. You are under no pressure to take any further steps.
Is a will made in Thailand legally valid for foreign assets?
A Thai will governs assets located in Thailand. For assets held overseas, separate legal advice may be needed in the relevant country. We can help you understand the position for your specific circumstances and, where appropriate, point you toward trusted international partners.
How long does estate administration typically take?
The timeline varies depending on the complexity of the estate, whether a will exists, and whether all parties are in agreement. Simple cases may be concluded within a few months. More involved estates, particularly those requiring court appointments, can take longer. We will give you a clear indication at the outset and keep you informed throughout.
Can a foreigner make a valid will in Thailand?
Yes. Foreign nationals with assets in Thailand — property, bank accounts, business interests — can and often should prepare a Thai will to ensure their wishes are carried out clearly. We work with both Thai and international clients and can prepare documents in English and Thai.
Will my family's situation remain private?
Absolutely. Everything discussed with us is held in strict confidence under professional legal privilege. We do not share client information with any third party without explicit permission, except where required by Thai law.
What are your fees, and are there any additional costs?
Our service fees are stated clearly for each service: ฿2,490 for an Estate Overview Consultation, ฿5,300 for Will & Succession Planning, and from ฿8,800 for Estate Administration Support. Where third-party costs may arise (such as court fees), we discuss these openly at the start so there are no surprises.
