About Us
A Practice Built on Patience and Principle
Moradok Tham was founded with a single belief: that families deserve honest, unhurried legal guidance during some of life's most personal moments.

How Moradok Tham Came to Be
Moradok Tham — which means rightful inheritance in Thai — was established in Bangkok by a small group of lawyers who had each worked in large commercial firms and come to notice the same thing: when families arrived needing help with an estate matter, the experience often felt impersonal, hurried, and difficult to understand.
The practice was set up to do things differently. We work with a limited number of clients at a time, so that each family receives careful, individual attention. We explain every step in plain English and Thai. We agree costs openly before work begins. And we do not rush anyone into decisions they are not ready to make.
Since opening our office on Sathorn Road, we have supported families across Bangkok and throughout Thailand — helping them navigate estate consultations, prepare well-considered wills, and work through the administration of estates following a bereavement. Many of our clients come to us by personal recommendation, which we take as a sign that the approach is working.
Our team combines experience in Thai civil and commercial law, probate procedure, and cross-border estate matters. We understand that inheritance situations are rarely straightforward — they involve family dynamics, emotional weight, and practical complexity. Our role is to make the legal side of things as clear and manageable as possible.
Our Mission
To provide inheritance law services that families in Thailand can approach with confidence — services that are thorough, transparent, and delivered with genuine respect for the people involved.
Our Values
- Patience — we work at the client's pace
- Clarity — plain language throughout

Our Standards
How We Work
Every aspect of our practice is shaped by the commitment to serve families well — professionally, ethically, and with care.
Thai Bar Association Membership
All practising members of the team are fully licensed under the Lawyers Council of Thailand, meeting the professional and ethical standards required by Thai law.
Client Confidentiality Protocol
All client information is protected under professional legal privilege and our internal data handling policy. Files are stored securely and access is restricted to the relevant case team.
Transparent Fee Agreement
Before any work begins, we prepare a clear written statement of scope and fees. Clients know exactly what is included and what additional costs, if any, may arise.
Document Quality Review
Every legal document — wills, powers of attorney, court filings — is reviewed by a second team member before being presented to the client or submitted to any authority.
Regular Client Updates
For ongoing estate administration matters, clients receive written updates at each significant stage. No family is left wondering where things stand.
Bilingual Service Delivery
All services are available in both English and Thai. Written summaries, document explanations, and correspondence can be provided in the client's preferred language.
Inheritance Law Expertise in Bangkok
Thai inheritance law is governed primarily by the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand, Books VI and VII. When a person passes away, their estate — comprising assets such as property, bank accounts, business interests, and personal belongings — is distributed according to either a valid will or the statutory rules of intestate succession.
For families in Bangkok and throughout Thailand, understanding how this process works can make a significant difference during an already difficult time. Moradok Tham provides structured legal support at each stage: from an initial conversation about the options available, through to the preparation of documentation and formal administration of an estate.
Foreign nationals with assets held in Thailand face a particular set of considerations, as Thai law will govern the disposition of those assets regardless of their country of residence. A Thai will prepared by a qualified legal practitioner provides clarity and can simplify the administration process considerably for surviving family members.
The practice is located in the Sathon district of Bangkok, accessible from the BTS and MRT networks, and welcomes clients both in person and remotely where circumstances require.
